"the district has now cut $300,000 more than it needs. That means that something can be put back into the budget." Here's a novel idea - DON'T use the money and cut another tiny percentage of a tax hike! There's no such thing as cutting more money from a budget than necessary! They spend too much money as it is! They need to cut more! MANY of us grew up with less art and music than students get now. And WE can read, write, hold a job and pay our taxes!

And is this same judge going to allow kids to take asprin and motrin in schools since teenagers can now take this far more dangerous class of drugs without parental notification?

I saw a young man on the fence on the bridge looking like he wanted to jump as I was getting off the exit trying to get onto Central Ave. The police were there and had closed the bridge at that point and were in the process of closing I 90 below the bridge.

The story does NOT say if his kids were properly belted in. If they weren't, he DOES deserve the ticket. If not, he should get medical clearance before he drives again.

If the NRA who has suggested this wants to pay for them, then I'm in favor of it.
Better than paying for an armed guard with my tax dollars, how about paying for counselors and teachers who can spot a student in trouble and get them help before they get to the point of a shooting like what happened in CT. I know the shooter wasn't a student there currently, but, he hadn't been out of school too many years; someone somewhere in his school years should have been able to spot his illness and get him help.

It would mean that the votes would be added together. The votes of the minority party in states such as NY would be added to the votes of that party in states where it is the majority party. They should change the primary system to that, too. It shouldn't be "winner take all" in the primaries, either.

Age doesn't matter; it's the mental and physical health of a person which should determine if they can legally drive or not.
