Oh, and by the way yourfinished23 I don't live in Schenectady so I guess I wouldn't be on the hill shooting anyone either, but I guess I could get away with it if I was that type of person, the SPD surely wouldn't be there to stop it. You called me ignorant, look in the mirror pally.

To yourfinished23,

You are exactly the type of narrow minded idiot we could expect on here, I am not a criminal, but if I was Schenectady would surely be the place to get away with a crime.Just keep your head buried in the sand and keep your nasty comments to yourself.

The Schenectady Police Department is a JOKE,and to be perfectly honest, they have made themselves a joke. Every other week something is happening in that department. I think it is high time to eliminate the SPD.I read so many on here who defend this dept. I guess I don't understand why. The only thing that makes them look bad is them, THEY ARE TO BLAME. Time for them to stop wasting our tax money and do the job they are paid to do, PROTECT US.

Well, we now know where all the tax money in Schenectady goes. Once again, the SPD doesn't fail to dissapoint.

They are very disappointed, what a joke, these school officials spend money like it's water and continue to raise our taxes in an already bad economic situation. I am a Scotia-Glenville resident and have three children in the schools here. If they are so disappointed and worried how things are going to get done, then why don't they take a decrease in pay, get rid of unneccesary employees and cutback on non essentials. This is what disgusts me about government and school districts, we as residents have to keep tightening our belts, but the state and the school districts do not.A new football field is absolutely ridiculous and I beleive it is more about keeping up with the "Jones'" then anything else. For example, Niskayuna High School is redoing there fields and putting in new parking lots and fencing, quite frankly,we are not in Niskayuna and most people in Scotia and Glenville do not have the kind of money typical Niskayuna residents do,meaning we are mostly blue collar workers.Bottom line is STOP SPENDING,STOP WASTING OUR HARD EARNED MONEY.

What I don't understand is why this school district never seems to do anything for the children. Scotia-Glenville School District always seems to have the money to buy new buses, create new jobs and do all this alleged needed work on buildings and fields. I have three children in this school system and as far as I am concerned, it is a joke. I have been to the highschool and I don't see why the athletic field needs to be replaced especially with an artificial terf. Give me a break, In fact, GIVE THE TAXPAYERS A BREAK. This school district needs to start doing things for the children it is supposed to be educating instead of creating useless jobs and "keeping up with the Jones'"type of mentallity. All you ever see is taxes going up and up. Then for the priveledge of paying higher taxes, you as the parent get to keep sending in money for this and that and this and that(i.e. alleged books they need and party money and encils and tissue). I don't know what happended to schools since I went to school, but teachers supplied paper and pencils and even contributed during parties. Seems to me the teachers themselves have become lazy and then want us to work with our children half the night afterschool working on what they should have learned during the six hour schoolday. So, bottom line is, if you like paying higher taxes with less education, keep continuing to vote "YES" on these rediculous expenses.

Of course Child protective services has a lot of overtime. They have to waist all their time and resources investigating "Unfounded"reports of abuse and/or neglect. I as a person who has been investigated several times for "unfounded" reports feel it is rediculous how much time is wasted investigating people just because someone has a grudge against you or is just plain mean and putting victimless children in the position of being talked to and CPS trying to coax the children into lying so that CPS may find something wrong with the parents. Maybe they should be investigated and see what we come up with on them.
