I really like my handwriting...it's full cursive too... A friend that I know has really cute printing. We were writing letters for Amnesty once, and someone came over and said, "This evil dictator is going to think he's getting this letter from a Girl Scout! He's going to think, 'Oh no! She'll attack me with her cookies.'" Now, this friend isn't actually a Girl Scout (although, I've tried to convince her to join my troop), but she defines a stereotypical Girl Scout. I agree--I think handwriting reflects personality.
The one song that I always feel defines my life is "I Love to Laugh" from Mary Poppins. I know it's a kids song, but I feel like a lot of the lyrics hold a lot more truth in them then people realize (besides the ones about the different ways that people laugh :) ). Actually, that's what I wrote my This I Believe essay on this year.
That's so funny! I just got back from a party where all we did was play board games...let's see, we played Apples to Apples, Monopoly, Oodles of Doodles and Congo (I guess some of those aren't really BOARD games...)...anyways, I LOVE board games, especially Apples to Apples, Scrabble and Chinese Checkers(...great, now I know what I'm doing tonight....)
YOU WATCH THAT SHOW TOO?!?! I LOVE that show! I started watching it because the person who created it also did one of my favourite tv shows that got cancelled a while ago. "Chuck" turned out to be so great!
Also, thanks for letting me know about Stephen Colbert. Now I know what I am doing Sunday night.
I have a friend who uses the word "meh" in just about every other sentence she utters. I remember she tried to use it in one of her articles for our school newspaper, but our editor-in-chief had it cut out. :)
I've read The Best Little Girl in the World also. I don't think it made anorexia seem like a great thing either. On the contrary, it made it seem like something she had to overcome.
The real question is where do you draw the line? Smoking, sex, anorexia...obviously, you can't ban it all from teen movies.
Oh gosh, everyone misses you so much. Hang in there, and let us know when you wil be home! (Update: the construction is actually looking a little better....)
