Sid Gordon: So your solution is to ban luggage?
What about boxes and packages? Are they banned too?
A "Reflection"? That's not even a slight shimmer.

While I do agree that celebrities often times know very little about anything other than being celebrities, (Yoko Ono is not exactly a renown geophysicist), they do manage to get some air time for the opposing viewpoint.
The shale industry has dumped millions of dollars into advertising, pay-offs to media shills (who ignoramuses like yourself apparently believe, say "baaa Vito, say baaa. good boy!), and lobbying that the opposition just can't match.
Yes, they own farms, and restaurants, but if they didn't, somebody else would, and none of the products harvested are even going to be used in this country, no less in this state.
Your energy bills are not going to decrease by so much as a penny, and the shale companies have openly stated as much.
Fracking is little more than selling the future of our state to the highest bidder, and no, there will be no economic "boom", as in North Dakota which has 1/20th of our population, and labor pool.
There are more people living within 60 miles of Albany, than live in the entire state of North Dakota, where the "boom" has already hit it's peak, and if North Dakota is doing so well, then why are they still receiving $1.68 of federal money for every $1.00 they put in?
They also have thousands of square miles that probably won't be population centers for another century or two, and if there is one thing New York State does not have, it's disposable real estate.
I would feel better about fracking if there were any type of accountability, but there just isn't, because the "Cheney Loophole" made sure of that.
They refuse to divulge what chemicals are being used, because that information is "proprietary", as though if you, or I knew what they were, we would just start our own oil company.
I'm confident, that every company that fracks knows exactly what chemicals are used, and none of them are harboring some special secret that the rest are not aware of.
Don't think economic "boom", think Love Canal and you'll be more on the mark.

You must be new here, because as anyone that grew up here can tell you, the winters were BRUTAL.
There were days on end of below zero temperatures.
Now, they close schools for a lousy 4 inches.
Is it possible that British owned, National Grid is screwing us?
No, there is no such thing as climate change, and I know this because Fox told me so.
This just in: The Earth is ROUND.]
No, really, I saw a picture.

Seriously, Yoko Ono?
She married rich, and that's about it.

"The difference between lifeline and Obamaphones is lifeline was a phone that could only call 911"
Nope, that started in 1985, and once again, you've fallen for the nonstop lies, and distortions of AM talk radio.
I do believe that the free minutes thing began in 2005 under Bush.
So, Reaganphone, Bushphone, take your pick, but it was never Obama's program.

Lets not forget that Saint Reagan gave blanket amnesty to over 11 million illegals.
Savage is a joke. His, as well as Limbaugh, and others' "callers" are actually voice actors who get paid to do it, employed through such firms as "Premier On Call", so that the banter will ALWAYS leave the host on top.
He is staunchly anti-gay, as are most closeted public figures, yet he boasts having Allen Ginsberg, who was VERY openly gay as his his best friend, and even claims to have a picture of them both skinny dipping together.
The classic conservative retort these days is Pee Wee Herman's "I know what you are, but what am I?"
They take the "Lifeline Program" which was started under Ronald Reagan, and call it the "Obamaphone", or take the Affordable Care Act, that was designed by Romney, and call it "Obamacare".
The pathetically laughable circus that is known as Tea Party Conservatism, has the TRUE mental disorder, as they consistently vote against their own best interests.
"Don't Tread On Me"? Try "Don't Laugh At Me", because it's rude to laugh at the intentionally ignorant, and gullible as they cheer their team on, right, or wrong.
Now, in the spirit of political correctness, we call them "low information voters".

Muggy: If you want to talk about dictatorships, think no farther than Bush, who created the Orwellian Department Of Homeland Security.
The GOP has been selling our best interests to the highest bidder for years.
Wanna talk about debt? Romney wanted to add it by giving the military $2.1Trillion that it didn't even ask for, or need.
How about a few hundred Abrams Tanks that they didn't want, yet were forced to buy.
Or better yet, hows about a war, based on lies, that cost us over 2Trillion so far, and will cost $6Trillion over the next 4 decades when interest is factored in.
If we cut our military in HALF it would still be mightier than the next 12 nations combined.
Russia was nothing during the cold war, and they are nothing now. The cold war bankrupted them, the same as the "War On Terror", is bankrupting us now.
That fight them over there or fight them over here nonsense has gotten to be pretty old.
The "War On Terror", has CREATED for more terrorists than it ex sponged.
North Korea is a joke, and China knows that if we ever had to leave, and take our businesses with us, their economy would completely collapse.
There are a record amount of poor people because the corporations that you so vehemently defend, not only shipped the jobs overseas, in order to dodge labor, and environmental laws, they also keep the profits in foreign banks to avoid paying taxes.
They were even allowed to deduct the cost of moving those jobs.
So not only do they not pay taxes, they get refunds, but I guess that's what you think capitalism is.
Those same corporations are also enjoying the lowest tax rates in 50 years, but we dare not raise them, because they are the mythical "job creators".
Yeah, right. So where are the jobs?
Oh, that's right, China.

That's why I no longer deride "The Tea Party Patriots".
In fact, I cheer them on because if it weren't for them, Romney might well have won the election, which would have been disastrous, plunging us into what would have been remembered as America's dark ages.
As Napoleon Bonaparte so aptly stated, "Never interrupt your enemy when he is making a mistake".

Agreed. Schumer's "idea", is so bizarre, that it borders on the surreal.
I have to wonder what part of his anatomy he pulled that proposal out of.
It sure wasn't his cranium.
NONE of those ships are even registered in The United States.
What makes him think that he can pass a law in another country?
Our rule of law, and our "constitutional rights", only apply to us, while we are here, in this country.
Your rights? Yeah right, I got your "rights" right here.
Try travelling to the middle east some time, and point out the fact that Muhammad was a pedophile.
Your "right" to freedom of the press shall be preserved.
For about 5 minutes, before they hang you.
The illusion of American exceptionalism has gotten way out of control.
They don't hate us for our freedom, they hate us for our arrogance.
