I agree with L.D.Davidson's concern.Even now at age 87,I remember gratefully many of the subjects I was taught in my public schools.History,music,art ,spelling,Shakespeare,French,Latin,grammar,Gilbert &Sullivan & many other subjects that have informed & enriched my life & that I may have missed with a more narrowly focused curriculum.
