With the oncoming glut of some 600 homes into the real estate market this will undoubtedly lead to a further depression of home values. Not to mention a depressed price for the sale prices of all homes, once they are lucky enough to sell one.

The return of the $8 million in winning bets that the NYRA witheld would be an even better "giveaway"

And just what is in the Metroplex charter that would allow them to intercede into the neighborhoods? Sidewalk repair, Street paving, etc. Understood that Metroplex is for economic development in the commercial sector not for residental neighborhood improvments. Specifics please.

It may not have been the library his name was removed from, which I clearly did not state it was. However there was a bldg. on campus that did have the name removal. It was somewhat fleeting on the news. Will try to track it down and provide an update.

The harshest punishment was meted out to the Paterno family via the removal of JOPAS statue, his name off a bldg. and the expunging of his most wins by a coach record. This really sends it on home to them. For all their money, and the colleges, cannot buy back his reputation nor that record. He may still have that record in the mind of purists, but it will be asterisked and tainted in the minds of many. These 3 things I believe were what the family had hoped would live on as a reminder of JOPAs accomplishments. Now they are to be but a fading memory and not the lasting one the family/allumni so cherished.

How can an org. continue to apply for/receive loans when 1 million in debt? Is the bldg. used as collateral? Also are any salaries being cut? Pensions? Health care contributions by employees increased?

And still no mention of any from of restitution of the $8 million plus that the NYRA ripped off from it's devoted bettors. Classic NYRA actions-little or no regard for the hand that feeds them. More than likely they know they have a "captive" audience pool of clients to tap from.
