Tom has been a member of The Gazette sports department since 1980, beginning as a sportswriter, covering high schools, colleges and auto racing, both on a local and national basis. He assumed responsibilities as assistant sports editor in 1995 and is responsible for daily production, including design and editing, as well as special sections.
