Michael covers education in Schenectady and Scotia-Glenville, as well as municipal government in Scotia and Glenville. He started with The Daily Gazette in October 2007 after working as a reporter and later bureau chief for Foster's Daily Democrat in Dover, N.H. He also worked as a copy editor for The Post-Star in Glens Falls.
