Ken has been a sportswriter for nearly 30 years, the last 23 at The Daily Gazette. He is in his 22nd year covering college hockey for The Gazette and is recognized as one of the top college hockey writers in the country. Ken was named the inaugural winner of the ECAC Hockey Media Award in 1998. He has also served on the Hobey Baker Award selection committee (1999-2001). He talks college hockey every Thursday from 11:05-11:30 a.m. during the season on "Big Board Radio Sports with Rodger Wyland" on radio station WOFX (980 AM). Ken also writes the popular "Behind the Broadcast" column that appears every Saturday. He has also covered minor league baseball for The Gazette. Ken began his career during his junior year at York College in Pennsylvania, working for the York Daily Record. Ken started the paper's regular coverage of the AHL's Hershey Bears in 1985. He also covered the Eastern League's Harrisburg Senators and wrote a TV/radio column.
