Joe has worked at the Gazette since 1977, starting as a general assignments reporter and covering the Scotia-Glenville beat. He joined the opinion page staff in 1979. A graduate of Bennington College in Vermont, he began his newspaper career at his hometown paper, the Brockton (Mass.) Enterprise.
