Belated kudos to Gazette sportswriter/handicapping star Mike MacAdam, who put his skills on public display over the weekend.

Filling in for year-round Gazette handicapper Bill Heller, and armed with Visine and the Racing Form, Mac Daddy went about picking 10 winners from 20 races at Belmont Park Friday and Saturday.

The Macster also slipped in several exactas and triples and doubles and Pick Threes, for good measure. Hope you were following along. Too bad I was in Baltimore. Thought my cell phone might ring, though .....

With apologies to Hyman Roth, let it be known far and wide that Mac "always makes money for his partners." Hopefully he has similar success during Belmont Stakes week.

In all seriousness, Mac knows his stuff, and works hard at his handicapping, and it shows. Nicely done.
