350th scavenger hunt
There’s much to appreciate about the city of Schenectady. Part of our mission at The Daily Gazette is to bring to our readers some of the stories of the city.
But as part of our celebration of the 350th anniversary of the Arendt Van Curler deed purchase, we’d like to encourage our readers to explore more of the city on their own.
We do so with this scavenger hunt, which asks participants to comb the city not for things, but for answers. We’ve tried to make the task interesting, educational and fairly easy.
We’re also offering a prize of $350 to one winner, selected at random from those entries with the most correct answers.
RULES
1. The contest is open to anyone except employees of The Daily Gazette Co. or their families.
2. People may enter the contest via our website or by mailing the printed page from the July 27, 2011 printed edition to Scavenger Hunt, The Daily Gazette, 2345 Maxon Road Ext., Schenectady, NY 12301-1090.
3. Only one entry per person.
4. The deadline to submit entries is Friday, Aug. 12, 2011. Mailed entries postmarked after that day will be disqualified.
