Forgiveness is one thing, being held accountable for his actions is another. That has not been satisfied yet.

Forgive? How do you forgive a cheat who stole opportunities from honest competitors, who when given a level playing field to compete upon could possibly have defeated Armstrong?
Clocks cannot be reset, a competitor's youth can't be regenerated. The human aging process, has forever prevented vindication and fame and fortune for those cheated by Armstrong. How many second or third place finishers could or should be enjoying the endorsement monies, the calm of financial independence? How many lives could or would have been changed in positive ways? Now we'll never know...the human aging clock ran out on those chances years ago, those competitors are simply too old to prove themselves now.
How does one apologize for taking food from a child, or the clothing from his back? Armstrong did some good with his winnings...we will never know what those he duped and defeated would have done to help others with theirs...

Life can be so disappointing! For me, I just don't know what, or who, to believe in anymore. Armstrong's book, "It's Not About The Bike", gave someone, I was very close to, the hope needed at the time of a devasting illness. It was inspirational during a time when it was needed. I will always be thankful for that - but it will never be read with the same feeling of respect for the author again. So very sad. He was idolized and has fallen. Reminds me of another man who had so much rspect; Tiger Woods.
