We as taxpayers already pay to maintain and protect the Adirondack Park...why should we pay again? If an individual chooses not to use the park system, that is his choice. We all are surrounded by government programs we pay for but do not utilize...should everything be pay as you go? I have never called the police for protection, should I have to pay them to come to my aid?
Anyway, the cost of enforcing an area as huge as the Adirondack Park would be counter productive by any stretch of the imagination.
