Why not. Schenectadys' Metroplex is partly responsible for the building of condos in a flood plain at the old ALCO site. During the recent flood of 2011 the waters inundated the site completly. Hope prospective buyers see the flood pictures before buying.

The only people who should be allowed to build in flood prone areas are the people who have the money to do it all, including roads to get to the property, on their own. Why should someone's desire for a home on a river etc affect MY taxes or insurance rates?
