This man has done more, singlehandedly, for the Capital Region than any other politician to date. Why do you think the Capital Region always has a lower unemployment rate than the national average and the lowest in the State? During his tenure, the area moniker was born, Tech Valley, and this area is now more revered than Austin, Texas and is the leader in tech jobs. Then he was able to bring a minor league baseball franchise, The Tri-City ValleyCats, to the area which has accomplished a NY-Penn League Championship and also brought the NY-Penn League All Star game here as well. It has provided more inexpensive clean family fun than any other of these pompous jackasses, the prosecutors. It took these lame-brained prosecutors over three years to come up with any charges at all because they were just interested in slamming a Republican politician. Ask yourselves why they haven't investigated Shelly Silver. Why have they remained silent, regarding the lawmakers who have been exposed by Greg Floyd's CBS6Albany reports of cheating the NY taxpayers on their expense reports when they werent even in Albany??!! How about investigating the Albany County DA, David Soares, who picks and chooses whom to prosecute ie: the arrested and charged, Occupy Albany protesters??!! Outrageous!!! Thank you, Joe Bruno, for all you have done for our area!! You are loved and prayed for!!

I agree with the comment from lynnes13. Joe has done a lot of good for the Capital Region... why waste more money in a Federal trial. Let it be....Joe is in his 80's, what will be accomplished?

I'd like to echo lynnes13, Joe has done more than his share, he is out of the power sphere, and is in his 80's now.
Spend your political get even money on some of the current and recurrent thieves in Albany. Hell, i made a mistake on a deduction a couple of years back and they are hunting me like a convict for $167.56. Those politicians from downstate and out west steal that much daily when they get paid Per Diem for days they are off fishing, or running around on their significant others...
No accountability there, and they continue to abuse it.Hang them.
While we are speaking of not performing duties they are paid for, indict Soares too. He gets paid a butt load of money to chase ghosts in Florida, when he has hundreds of Ghouls in his front yard.He needs to be accountable. How can he expect a citizen to be lawful when he overtly ignores the statutes himself?

So I guess as long as you do something good for the people you are getting paid to represent it is ok to be crooked (alleged). It is no wonder the country is in the situation we find ourselves in.

tomnkaren...yeah, it's just as simple and cut and dry as that.
Doesn't matter that he had become the target of a politically motivated witch hunt, and now, after Supreme Court acquittal on trumped up charges, he is the subject of a vendetta led by a government prosecutor stung by a major reversal. He is continuing simply because he can, in an attempt at revenge for a bruised ego. Damn the cost, damn the time wasted on a man in his 80's, damn the fact there are some really bad people out there deserving these very same investigative dollars.
