Appointed to 2 year terms so the current town board/city council can change them if needed; NOT appointed to indefinite terms. I don't favor elected positions because that would put them at risk of losing their jobs after a reassessment that turns out not favorable to many landowners, but, which assessments can be backed up by facts.

Doesn't make a difference in Schenectady. Either way you are going to get one party choice. Democrats are the only ones that come out in numbers in the city. They win either way. If you think different look at who the opposing parties put out there for the Judge opening last year. It stinks.
