I believe they should be allowed to have A pet.
One only!

I believe they should be allowed to have pets, but, limit the number, size and clearly regulate where dogs can go and require leashes for dogs when they leave their apt.

If you can't afford housing, you can't afford pets. If you have extra money for pets, you have extra money for bills or unassisted living instead.

The people who live in public housing can barely feed themselves... how on earth are they going to feed and care for a pet? The answer is, they won't and the place will be overrun with feral cats and riddled with sick dogs! And how unfair to the animals!

it's troublesome that some people lack so much common sense that rules/laws have to be made to tell them how to live *sigh*

I thought what sc thought, actually ... not that I'm against people having pets, but in most cases, wouldn't that money better be spent on bills?
