About 400 elementary- and middle-school students taking part in the Shenendehowa Inventors program will display their inventions at the former Cotton Market store at Clifton Park Center from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday.
75% responding hate everything about winter, yet we live here. We love that first snow, just as we love a snowy Christmas morning. A briskly cold New Year's Eve is a lovely finishing touch on the Holiday Season. From January 2nd until the first day of spring, you can keep winter.
I don't know about the hot toddy part (maybe hot cocoa instead), but my favorite part of winter is definitely the parts when I don't have to go out in it. A frozen nose, a buried car and messy roads? Ick. But watching flakes fall while sipping cocoa and staying toasty inside? Not a bad way to spend a day. :)
My favorite part of winter is curling up with a good book next to a crackling fire (in the fireplace) and watching the snow fall outside, while a purring cat sits on my lap.
I love to curl up with a good book on a snowy day... unfortunately I am usually too busy shoveling the driveway! It's the slippery roads that I hate the most! And having to bundle up just to run to the store for a carton of milk! On the other hand, it is nice to see the days get longer, and to know that we're heading in the right direction... towards Spring!
