If it has to be one out of the total of four options so far, "Rhymes with Orange" is probably the best. But why not an "other" option? Why not, say, "Frazz," or "Rudy Park," or "Jump Start," or "Soup to Nutz," or "Diesel Sweeties"?

round 2, still no winner that I can see, removing Gasoline Alley is a good move, and I wouldn't miss Lio either

None of the comics featured in rounds one or two are very good. There are better daily strips available if you want to spend the money.

You keep picking the stupidest damn strips! I agree with mhowie: Jump Start would be a great addition.

I must agree. Get rid of Gasoline Alley and Lio!!! What ever happened to "For Better or Worse" or "Cathy"? At least they are not totally stupid!

Still think you can replace Pardon My Planet with ANYTHING. As for fitting in it's space, any four panel strip can be changed to a two-by-two panel and fit nicely.

To me they are both stupid and make no sense at all.
I know no one wants Gasoline Alley but at least it resembles a story board and can be kinda silly but that's comics. These two new ones, can't believe anyone considers them good. The last two, at least appeared funny. That's what I look for in comics, a
laugh---

I did not suggest that Gasoline Alley be removed.
Personally, I look forward to it as it is funny,
depicts life, maybe a more simpler life, sometimes
can be really silly but it is a mainstay.

Round 2 stinks as well as Round 1 choices. Where are you coming up with these awful comics!!!! I still don't like either one and won't vote for either one. We need something like For Better or Worse, Garfield, Cathy, Get Fuzzy, Adam, etc. PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE get something that is funny. Neither of these choices are funny. Claire

I like "Rhymes with Orange" but do NOT like "Family Tree". I didn't like Adam the first time it ran in our paper so please don't put that back in! I prefer "Pardon My Planet" to "Pooch Cafe"! That one is a awful!

Sorry but I don't like either one of them. The last set was better and even those weren't all that good. No vote from me for either.

Maybe you could put a blank panel in and then all these brilliant folks can draw their own strip every morning.

Two more awful "comic" strips. However I would replace the absolute worst one "Lio" with Rhymes With Orange rather than getting rid of Gasoline Alley. I've been reading Gasoline Alley for years and would surely miss it. I would not miss Speed Bump, Pardon My Planet and Lio. Where do you get these awful comic strips. And please don't ever consider getting rid of "Shoe".

I can't vote etiher since all 4 of these comics are NOT FUNNY! Why can't we have some of the really good ones that other local papers carry - like Garfield, Beetle Bailey, Cathy, The Wizard of Id, Hagar the Horrible.
I agree with the suggestion to ditch "Lio". I'm not too crazy about Gasoline Alley, Rose is Rose, Agnes, Judge Parker or Rex Morgan, but at least these have some sense to them. Lio & your 4 suggestions are ghastly and would NOT improve the comics page. Please listen to your readers! Thanks!

I don't get it. Why can't you find "funny" comics. These inane efforts are just awful.

My dictionary defines "comic" as causing amusement or laughter. These simply do not.

I can't recommend any of your new considerations, but Family Tree is horribly unfunny. There has to be new and better choices. Get rid of Gasoline Alley,Lio, Rose is Rose.

Getting rid of Gasoline Alley is a very good move. None of the replacement strips really impress me, but "Rhymes with Orange" has potential. "Family Tree" is too badly drawn for words. Any possibility of rerunning "Calvin and Hobbes" or "Citizen Dog"?

Lio is actually one of the better strips on the page, though I suppose it's humor is too subtle for some. In any case, "Rhymes with Orange" is the best you've offered so far, but you could do better. Things like "Tank McNamara" or "The New Adventures of Queen Victoria"

I personally like Rhymes with Orange better than any of the other 3 but it hasn't really grown on me. I never read Rex Morgan or Judge Parker but I read all the others. I've grown quite fond of Lio & Pooch Cafe. I'm not a particular fan of Pardon My Planet, Rose is Rose, Crankshaft or Gasloline Alley. Don't ever touch Luann, Peanuts or Sally Forth - theyre great. I miss Calvin & Hobbes & Foxtrot (weekdays), they're great as is B.C. and the Wizard of ID.

Personally, I will probably cancel my subscription to your newspaper if you were to put Family Tree in the paper, sad, sad. Lio is OK, not great, Pooch Cafe is better. Rhymes with Orange is a fair strip, but there has to be much better strips available. Don't use Beetle Bailey, same stuff for 4 decades. Fresh, with a whit to it, is what you should look for.

AGG! Rhymes with orange is way better then Family Tree. I'd get rid of Gasoline Alley. Its jokes stink. Its purely just not funny. They are just awful. Judge parker is not so great, but it really bugs me that everything they saw ends with a "!" or "...". I just want to scream when i see that. I would like Adam or Fuzzy.
P.S. door hinge rhymes with orange

My feelings have not changed. What you are offering,as new comics are not funny at all, why not bring back some of the old ones, even some of the adventure ones --- make the page interesting. These four are not good at all.

I voted for Rhymes with Orange because it's the best of what you've offered. I give you credit for trying to find some original strips that don't run in every paper, but I really would like to read Zits every day!

I don't like any of the new ones -- but if you must get rid of some take away Shoe and Gasoline Alley.

Actually I like Lio and I REALLY miss Calvin and Hobbs! They were fabulous. Why not add Garfield? He's a riot. Years ago I saw a cartoon called My dog Spot --- that was funny too. I love Poncho -- he is so Human.
