'An Armory Show' exhibit
Artists Michael Oatman of Troy and Kenneth Ragsdale of Albany have taken over the Opalka Gallery with a momentous and challenging "An Armory Show" exhibit that showcases our Capital Region talents. Posted on October 2, 2013.
In the gallery, there's a black leather couch where a viewer can rest and reflect. The lamps are the work of Yael Erel and Avner Ben Naten. (Gary Gold photo)
The gallery is hidden behind a gigantic photograph of the New Scotland Avenue Armory. A sign listing the artists in the exhibit was salvaged from the Albany armory. (Gary Gold photo)
Kim Faler's "Liberdale," an artwork that includes a taxidermied bear, and, on right side of photo, Michael Oatman's video work "D'entre les morts (Nude Defending a Staircase)." (Gary Gold photo)
Kenneth Ragsdale created "The Gypsum Clad," a massive tank-like sculpture in the center of the gallery.
