Tim Jones stood behind a row of chairs — the home bench — on the floor of the Amsterdam High School gymnasium. It was shortly before 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Jones watched as the Amsterdam freshman boys basketball team built a second half lead against Catholic Central of Troy.
