Another year goes into the cosmic scrapbook tonight.
Places and faces from 2012 will take their spots along the infinite corridors of time.
Today, The Daily Gazette’s tunnel into the past has set power accelerators and image controls to points in the local space-time continuum. The newspaper’s history staff has chosen favorites from the past 51 “Capital Region Scrapbooks,” and these portraits from recent decades include big hair, a big blimp and big smiles from bunches of people.
Blue Sunoco, a futuristic telephone, singing nurses, laughing pals of the Irish, smiling schoolgirls and friends of Frank Duci are also part of today’s New Year’s Eve party.
