Roger Schrom Sr., a lifelong resident of Schoharie County, looks at a plot of his land in Gallupville that once had a horse stable, chicken coops, plows, and farm machinery, on Tuesday, August 30, 2011. Schrom's family was cleaning up on Tuesday after flooding whiped away much of his property and knocked his house off its foundation. Schrom estimates the damage and missing structures and equipment are worth more than $40,000.
