About 400 elementary- and middle-school students taking part in the Shenendehowa Inventors program will display their inventions at the former Cotton Market store at Clifton Park Center from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday.
In the coming weeks, the Downtown YMCA will abandon its home at 13 State St. "The building really does have a nice personalityl,” says Lou Magliocca, the Y's executive director. It has many nooks and crannies and is well-known for the running track that hovers above the basketball court. A noon-time basketball game has been a tradition at Schenectady’s Downtown YMCA since the building was built in 1927. The running track hanging over the court is one of the structure’s many unusual characteristics.
