All the comforts of home
It can’t help but catch the eye: a sprawling bluestone structure akin to a castle, a newcomer on a street of gracious old Victorian manors. Boldly seated a stone’s throw from the sidewalk, the mansion beckons passers-by to listen for the music of its fountains, admire its impeccably kept gardens, bend to smell the Russian sage that bows between the bars of its wrought-iron fence, strain for a glimpse beyond the multitude of arched windows.

At more than 20,000 square feet, the Riggi mansion nearly fills its one-acre lot on North Broadway. The lot once held two hotels.
Michele Riggi had the wrought iron railings of all the home’s staircases custom made in Tennessee. This double staircase, in Italian marble, rises from the entrance foyer.
Each floor in the Riggi house has a staircase with a custom made, wrought iron railing that reflects the theme of the floor it begins on. This basement banister has an African theme and includes flowers and figs.
The entrance of Michele and Ron Riggi’s family room is flanked by stone columns, and smaller ones surround the flat-screen TV. The Italian-Asian theme includes a rug from Thailand, teeming with birds, flowers and jungle animals.
An Italian fountain is the centerpiece of the garden at the Riggi mansion on North Broadway in Saratoga Springs
