On Thursday morning there was an Open House and Kick-Off Celebration at the Schenectady Light Opera stage for Schenectady County Senior and Long Term Care (SLTC), Schenectady ARC, and the Schenectady Light Opera Company (SLOC) will be partnering to create “Tapping into the Arts,” an innovative arts education program with a special focus on Schenectady County’s active senior citizens, youth and individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.   The program will offer a variety of three-day mini-courses and one-day workshops from June through August of 2013 including Introduction to Dance, Acting 101, Broadway Voices, Warming Up to Watercolor Painting, Improvisational Theater, Watercolor and Collage, Sock and Shadow Puppets, Story-telling and more.
