Ellen "Nellie" Hambly, a survivor of the sinking of the Titanic in the North Atlantic in 1912, went on to be a longtime Schenectady resident and in May 1953 was a guest of Proctor's Theatre for a screening of the movie "Titanic" with Clifton Webb, Barbara Stanwyck and Robert Wagner.
