— A city teen faces charges, accused of throwing a glass bottle last month, damaging a truck and injuring a motorcyclist hit by broken glass, authorities said.

Kyle V. Carlone, 19, of Cleveland Avenue, faces one count of third-degree criminal mischief, a felony, and third-degree assault, a misdemeanor. Police arrested him Monday.

Carlone is accused of throwing the bottle at the pickup truck at about 8:30 p.m. Aug. 17 at Guilderland and Helderberg avenues, according to court paperwork.

The bottle broke on the roof of the truck, causing more than $250 in damage, according to papers.

Broken glass from the bottle then continued and hit an “uninvolved motorist” on a motorcycle. The motorcyclist suffered a cut to his arm, according to papers. Firefighters treated the motorcyclist at the scene.

Paperwork does not indicate a reason for Carlone allegedly throwing the bottle.
