— A Niskayuna man was indicted by a Saratoga County grand jury Thursday on charges in connection with a July break-in at a Clifton Park house.

Fardin M. Sharifipour, 45, of Hillcrest Village, was indicted on charges of second-degree burglary, fifth-degree possession of stolen property and petit larceny, according to Saratoga County District Attorney Karen Heggen's office.

Sharifipour was arrested on July 11 inside a Clifton Park home after setting off a silent alarm. State police searched the home and found Sharifipour hiding in a bedroom closet with jewelry in his pocket, police said at the time.

The arrest came only a few weeks after Sharifipour had pleaded guilty to a Niskayuna break-in in 2015, police said at the time.

Sharifipour is currently in jail pending arraignment in Saratoga County Court.

Also Thursday, Jeffrey R. Lawrence, 30, of Ash Street, Corinth, was indicted on two counts of felony driving while intoxicated. He was arrested last May 14 in Corinth.

In other court action:

Leroy L. Ramsey, 45, of state Route 50, Gansevoort, was sentenced by County Court Judge James A. Murphy III to 2 1/2 years in state prison and two years post release supervision. He pleaded guilty in June to attempted third-degree criminal sale of a controlled substance.
