Schenectady man faces assault charge

A city man is facing felonies for an assault with a pipe, authorities said. Albert W. Woods, 41, of Bridge Street, faces felony assault, weapons possession and contempt counts. He is accused of using a five-foot-long rusty metal pipe to hit the victim several times on Bridge Street Tuesday morning. He is also accused of violating an order of protection and damaging the apartment and putting his hands around the victim’s neck.
