Schenectady man allegedly broke into apartment

A city man was arrested this week for allegedly breaking into an apartment and stealing $20, authorities said. Jason D. Smith, 27, of Union Street, faces one count each of second-degree burglary, a felony, and misdemeanor criminal mischief and petty larceny. He is accused of breaking into the apartment Monday through a window screen and taking the money, according to papers.
