— A city police officer suffered cuts to his arm Wednesday after a suspect slammed a door on him, causing the officer’s hand to go through the glass, authorities said.

Anthony Parker, 24, of Holland Road, faces one count of second-degree assault, a felony, along with misdemeanor counts of resisting arrest, reckless endangerment and obstructing governmental administration.

Parker is accused of slamming the door on Officer Kevin Derkowski as Derkowski was investigating drug transactions Wednesday evening, according to papers filed in court.

Derkowski suffered cuts and bleeding to his left arm. He was treated at Ellis Hospital.
