Lacrosse: Carroll, Puglisi sparks Tartans' win

Maddie Carroll produced five goals and an assist, and Dominique Puglisi scored four times to help Scotia-Glenville stop Cohoes, 17-10, in the Section II Class C girls’ lacrosse tournament Monday.

Victoria Carringi, Megan Sleeper, and Cara Zanta added two goals apiece for the Tartans, who host Emma Willard Wednesday at 4:30.

Emma Willard (9-6) bounced Schuylerville, 7-2, behind three goals from Xani Shultis.

Holy Names scored 10 times in the first half and held off Glens Falls, 14-13, in another Class C game.

Catie Vivian produced five goals, and Nell Guarino and Lisa Hladik tallied four goals apiece for Holy Names.

Monica Harvey paced Glens Falls with four goals.

In Class B, Averill Park crushed South Glens Falls, 19-9, behind five goals apiece from Emily Halpin and Sofia Sorrianato.
