In alleged Saratoga burglary, man smears sour cream
SARATOGA SPRINGS A man broke into a real estate office after-hours and smeared sour cream on the walls, Saratoga Springs police said.
Albany police arrested William John Gallinari, 43, of Albany, on charges of burglary, a felony, and criminal tampering, a misdemeanor.
Police had been looking for Gallinari since the incident on Mar. 4. A warrant was issued for his arrest, and he was found Thursday night, police said.
They said he broke into Sotheby’s International Real Estate on Broadway in Saratoga and opened the office refrigerator, where he found sour cream.
He threw the cream all over the walls, police said.
They said the incident was “not directed at the business or a specific employee.” They also said he didn’t routinely break into businesses.
“The act appears to be isolated in nature,” police said in a press release.
