School lacrosse: Zanta, Tartans defeat Indians

Cara Zanta scored five goals and added two assists, and Scotia-Glenville held on for a 16-14 Foothills Council win over Glens Falls Wednesday.

The Tartans led at the half, 11-4, before the Indiand battled back.

Carle McNulty had two goals and six assists for the Tartans. Monica Harvey paced the Indians with five goals and an assist.

Nell Gaurino had three goals and two assists as balanced Holy Names defeated Cohoes, 15-4, in the Capital District Women’s Lacrosse League.

The Niskayuna boys (10-0, 12-1) beat Saratoga Springs Tuesday, 20-5, with Mike D’Amario collecting a season-high 10 points on five goals and five assists.

Lucas Quinn notched five goals, and Niskayuna reached 20 goals for the second game in a row.
