Schenectady man held on gun charges in Massachusetts
PITTSFIELD, Mass. — Police in western Massachusetts have arrested a New York man on gun charges after wrestling a gun from him.
Anthony Robertson of Schenectady was charged by Pittsfield police with carrying a loaded .357 magnum, which was reported stolen from New York.
State police received a 911 call of a man with a gun outside a residence. Pittsfield police say officers went to the home and asked the 32-year-old Robertson to put up his hands, but he raised only one hand.
After a struggle, police took the loaded gun from Robertson's waistband.
He was charged with carrying a loaded firearm without a license, defacing a firearm serial number and other charges.
It was not known Sunday if he's represented by a lawyer. He's being held on $10,000 bail and is due to be arraigned Monday.
