Lacrosse: Cadets' win streak hits 10

Niko Szelest scored eight goals, and the Albany Academy boys’ lacrosse team remained perfect on the season with a 19-5 non-league win over Glens Falls Friday.

Matt Balter had five goals and three assists for the 10-0 Cadets, and Shawn Knowlton scored once and assisted five times.

Sean Hooker and Connor McGuirk scored two goals apiece for the Indians.

Dominique Puglisi and Maddie Carroll both produced four goals and an assist, and Scotia-Glenville edged Glens Falls,

15-12, in a Foothills Council girls’ game.

Cara Zanta had three goals and three assists for the Tartans (5-1, 7-1). Lauren Stamatel and Moniva Harbey generated six and five goals, respectively, for the Indians (5-2, 5-2).
