School Lacrosse: Schenectady tops Troy in opener

James Schnepf went three quarters before allowing a goal, and Schenectady spread the scoring Saturday in a 6-1 win at Troy to begin its Big 10 lacrosse schedule. Ethan Szemansco led the Patriots (1-0, 1-1) with three goals, and Schnepf finished with nine saves.
