Man allegedly stole cellphone in Schenectady
SCHENECTADY An Albany man accused of using a knife to rob a woman of her phone last month has been arrested, authorities said.
Robert Mitchell, 38, of 370 Second Ave., Albany, was charged Wednesday with first-degree robbery, a felony, along with third-degree assault and second-degree unlawful imprisonment, misdemeanors.
Mitchell is accused of using a medium-sized knife to take the woman’s cellphone on Feb. 24 from an address on State Street, according to papers filed in court. He is also accused of causing a minor cut and blocking her from leaving.
