Schenectady man allegedly opened credit card under father's name

A Schenectady man opened a credit card in the name of his father and then ran up a $7,000 bill, authorities charge. Daniel Bielawski, 30, of 625 Lansing St., was charged March 10 with fourth-degree grand larceny, a felony, along with second-degree criminal impersonation, a misdemeanor. He is accused of obtaining the card in November and representing himself as his father, according to papers filed in court.
