Schenectady man accused of housing assistance fraud

A Schenectady man is facing charges of defrauding the Municipal Housing Authority for allegedly not reporting income, authorities said. Nesar Hoteky, 51, of Jerry Street, faces charges of first-degree offering a false instrument for filing and third-degree grand larceny, felonies. He is accused of omitting on his 2011 and 2012 housing-assistance applications income from a working family member, according to papers filed in court.
