— An Albany man allegedly broke into his girlfriend’s residence last week and choked her, authorities said.

Arthur J. Wright, 32, of Clinton Avenue, was charged Friday with one count each of second-degree burglary, third-degree criminal mischief and criminal obstruction of breathing.

He is accused of breaking into the Crane Street residence by kicking in a door Wednesday and putting pressure to the woman’s throat with his hand, according to papers filed in court.
