Man accused of burglarizing Schenectady home, menacing occupants

An intoxicated burglar walked into a Schenectady Street residence with a gun and menaced the resident, authorities said. Jeffrey Hilts, 48, of 316 Paige St., faces one count of first-degree burglary, along with two weapons counts and a menacing charge. He is accused of forcing his way into the victim’s apartment March 10 and placing the resident in fear of being shot, according to papers.
