Webinar on transparency website to be held Monday

— The Empire Center for Public Policy will host a live webinar on Monday to help people learn how to navigate its SeeThroughNY transparency website.

The website, seethroughny.net, provides a resource for state taxpayers to see where their money is going and search how much public employees are paid in New York.

The webinar will be held at 11 a.m. on March 17. It will include features, tips and tricks along with a question and answer session. Registration is required to participate.

SeeThroughNY has data from counties, cities, towns, villages, school districts and public authorities throughout the state. The website includes salaries of more than 287,000 government workers, along with teacher salaries and pensions.
