— Montgomery County Sheriff's deputies are searching for an androgynous bandit with colorful accessories who reportedly robbed a truck stop in Fultonville Monday.

In the small hours of Monday morning, the AM Best truck stop on Riverside Drive in the Village of Fultonville was robbed at knife point according to information released Wednesday by Sheriff's investigators.

The suspect wore grey sweatpants and a grey jacket, paired with bright pink gloves and a purple bandana tied over his mouth and nose.

While witnesses describe the robber as a white male of medium build between 20 and 30 years old, they said his voice was, "geeky, not feminine and not manly."

After the robbery, the suspect fled north across Riverside Drive then between Dunkin Donuts and Poplars Motel.

Sheriff's deputies called in the state police and a K9 unit, but were not able to find the suspect.

The Sheriff's department encourages anyone with information about the robbery to call 853-5500.
