— Authorities say a 27-year-old Albany woman has died from injuries suffered in a house fire that her young daughter and brother-in-law survived.

Albany police say 27-year-old Zerina Cekani died at a hospital early Tuesday morning, a day after a blaze broke out at the home she shared with her husband and his parents.

Officials say her brother-in-law managed to break a window and escape with Cekani's toddler.

Fire investigators say they've determined that the cause of fire was accidentally caused by an electrical malfunction. They say the blaze started in the attached garage and spread to the three-bedroom house.
