College hockey: Union blanks Yale

On Friday afternoon, Union junior netminder and Niskayuna native Colin Stevens was named a nominee for the inaugural Mike Richter Award as the nation’s top goalie.
Stevens followed it up by having one of the best games of his career, stopping a career-high 39 shots to earn his fifth shutout of the season as the ECAC Hockey Cleary Cup-champion and third-ranked Dutchmen beat defending NCAA champion and 15th-ranked Yale, 2-0, at Ingalls Rink.
