— A tractor trailer driver disregarded the posted high restriction sign for a bridge on Pangburn Road, resulting in his truck hitting a bridge protection beam early Monday, state police said.

The accident happened just before 2 a.m. on Pangburn Road at a railroad overpass. A beam, in place to protect the rail line, was struck, with the trailer wedging underneath, police said.

The driver was identified as Sarbjit Singh, 34, of Fresno, Calif.

There was no structural damage visible to the rail line and the owner CP Rail was notified, police said.

Police did not indicate if tickets were issued.
