If you want to know what a casino will do for a city, go to Atlantic City, NJ. The casinos there are dumps. Promised economic development from casinos in Atlantic City did not materialize and it too became a dump.

I have bicycled around in Atlantic City, and while it is not the nicest city, it still looks a heck of a lot better than Schenectady does now.
.
But I will agree that we should not develop the Alco site as a casino...
